Piss poorOnce again the Kelner & Lapaglie Piss Poor Podcast breaks the mould…

Martin Kelner (born 1949, north Manchester) is a journalist, author, and radio presenter – currently broadcasting with Real Radio Yorkshire in the prestigous Sunday night graveyard slot, and has a weekly column in the Guardian (UK newspaper). His recent podcasts are a two fingered alternative to radio broadcasts (including his own).

Phil Nichol - 20 Years imageFor a comedian, when life sucks, the material’s good. If life gets really bad, that’s even better. If it’s completely horrendous then it makes for a great show. This should be a great show!

Stephen K Amos

Stephen K Amos: The Laughter Master

Stephen K Amos LCF 16 imageThe maestro of feel-good comedy is coming to Leeds Comedy Festival with his new show. Fresh from sell-out tours of Australia and New Zealand, as heard on BBC Radio 4 Life: An Idiot’s Guide and What Does the K Stand For?

“Unashamed feel-good entertainment. Amos has had his share of TV exposure, but nothing that has successfully captured what he does live. If only a broadcaster could bottle the magic that was conjured up last night Amos would finally be a household name way beyond the Amos household” ★★★★ (Evening Standard)

“Amos is a brilliant comedian who has the ability to strike up an instant rapport with his live audience. I’ve seen him stand in front of a room of strangers and after a few minutes they all seem to be his friends” (Bruce Dessau)

“As his autobiographical sitcom plays out on BBC Radio 4, Stephen K Amos is officially becoming a national treasure. Expect more warm insight and spiky charm here” (Sunday Times)
